Wild Lubanzi will spin your world.

This is Lubanzi, a little Xhosa Village in the middle of nowhere, somewhere on the Wild Coast. This is where the road ends, this is where the sea and the sky meet, where the sun kisses the waves and the rhythm of life is still pure and undisturbed.

Kick off your shoes, let your spirit soar. Free yourself, climb into your skin, open up, be at one, breathe. Lubanzi is as "away from everything" as you can possibly be.

This is the Wild Coast, so we keep it simple and rural. We are off the grid, running on solar with an Eskom backup . There is enough energy to run the lights of the lodge, a kitchen fridge and a guest fridge, and charge cell phones and laptops during the day. In case of self-catering, there is a fully equipped self-catering kitchen on the ground floor of the main building that you are welcome to use.
BUT: Rural as may be, we do have FREE INTERNET/WiFi so you can keep in touch with the world out there or carry on with your online work.

We support the Central Wild Coast Hiking trail and are happy to accommodate hikers on a daily-rate basis or passers by booking for 3 nights or less. The Wild Coast can easily be explored on foot, and one does not need to be extra fit in order to do this. The hikes are fairly easy and each leg of the journey - from one backpackers to the next - takes about 4 to 5 hours. The fantastic thing about this hiking route is that you don't have to do the whole route - you can hike only one part and visit only one or two of the backpackers, or you can stay as many nights as you wish in any of the in-between backpackers before continuing your walk. As a special service to you, we offer free luggage transfers from one backpackers to the next. Time for you to get those hiking boots on and start walking! Should you prefer an organized hiking trip, contact us via WhatsApp and we will put you in touch with Sinovuyo from Lubanzi Adventures.

As camping fever is on the rise, we have leveled out a few spaces for campers to pitch their tents. Situated on a hill, there are not many large spaces for campervans, however, our neighbor, Ndawo's Homestay has a great spot for campervans to park, with own amenities, braai area and exquisite views. PLEASE NOTE: There are currently no plugpoints or electricity on any of the camping sites and as we run off solar, our solar power is not enough to power any additional camping fridges/freezers. If you do need to bring your own camping fridge/freezer, no matter how small, we suggest you bring an additional generator to power your equipment.
